Hotels

Awarded as the Best Luxury Hotel in Leavenworth, the Lodge is located 1000 feet above Leavenworth, on land originally cleared in the late 1800s for alfalfa farming to support the local logging and mining industries. This area, accessed from Old Blewett Pass via Mountain Home mountain, has a rich history that contributed to the development of the upper valley. Over the years, the property has been part of many personal stories, including those shared by individuals who have a historical connection to the land, highlighting its significance in the community and local heritage.

Bill and Emma Jean Bradshaw were the first to homestead the property in the late 1960s, embarking on the construction of the Lodge in the late 1970s as their private residence. Bill's efforts mostly built the structure that would eventually become Mountain Home Lodge in 1984, following its purchase and renovation by the current owners in the early '80s. They completed the interior as a lodge and later added cabins in 1999, making it a retreat for visitors seeking a connection to the area's natural beauty and historical depth.

Feeling as though we've been sequestered in our home for the last three months I was looking for a special but safe place to celebrate my husband's birthday as the State of Washington slowly opens back up. We chose Mountain Home Lodge, in Leavenworth for our three day getaway.

The owners are amazing, lovely people, super helpful and accommodating. It was a refreshing stay for our 10th anniversary. The food was delicious, the cabin was cozy, and the location was spectacular.

Mountain Home Lodge is an amazing place to visit - I recommend it, and plan to return - a great get away from the Bay Area. It is both peaceful and has lots of activities. We enjoyed great walking trails. My room was on the upper floor, and was quiet with a great view.

Wow! What a beautiful hidden gem. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We stayed in the Trout room. It was tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfy. Each night a black bear would come eat from the trees outside our window, we even saw some wild turkeys! Just incredible.

Mountain Home Lodge is a spectacular getaway. Located 1,000 feet above Leavenworth, WA, the views are spectacular. The accommodations (currently limited to two cabins) are top tier, and in keeping with the mountain theme. The hosts, Brad and Kathy Schmidt, are most gracious and accommodating.

I visited this lodge November 2019 and it was absolutely spectacular! The grounds are so beautiful and the property felt like a warm and cozy home. The two dogs on the premise were so nice and I saw them happily lead the way for others to hike the trails nearby.

It's been a couple of weeks since we stayed at the lodge. It was such a relaxing experience, Brad and Kathy were terrific hosts. The views of the Cascade Mountains was absolutely breathtaking. We hiked to the top of the overlook and was rewarded with wonderful views. Worth the moderately difficult hike? Due to elevation changes, for part of the hike.
