Awarded as the Best Luxury Hotel in Leavenworth, the Lodge is located 1000 feet above Leavenworth, on land originally cleared in the late 1800s for alfalfa farming to support the local logging and mining industries. This area, accessed from Old Blewett Pass via Mountain Home mountain, has a rich history that contributed to the development of the upper valley. Over the years, the property has been part of many personal stories, including those shared by individuals who have a historical connection to the land, highlighting its significance in the community and local heritage.

Bill and Emma Jean Bradshaw were the first to homestead the property in the late 1960s, embarking on the construction of the Lodge in the late 1970s as their private residence. Bill's efforts mostly built the structure that would eventually become Mountain Home Lodge in 1984, following its purchase and renovation by the current owners in the early '80s. They completed the interior as a lodge and later added cabins in 1999, making it a retreat for visitors seeking a connection to the area's natural beauty and historical depth.
