Things to Do

Since its licensing and accreditation in 2004, Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary has opened its doors to the public, securing its reputation as the Best Zoo in Jacksonville by offering a unique educational experience. The sanctuary is deeply committed to education and advocacy, actively discouraging the ownership of exotic animals as "House Pets" and striving to raise awareness about their endangered status in the wild. Through educational school tours offered year-round and selected weekend openings for the general public, Catty Shack Ranch provides a rare opportunity for individuals to learn about and appreciate these magnificent creatures in a responsible setting.

The sanctuary places a high priority on the well-being of its animal residents, boasting an on-site Medical Facility equipped with state-of-the-art amenities. A dedicated team of veterinarians and dentists work tirelessly to ensure that the animals receive the best care possible. Their expertise and commitment are evident in the exceptional level of care provided, making the health and well-being of the animals a paramount concern.

In addition to its educational and medical endeavors, Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary also serves as a living testament to what can be achieved through responsible animal care and public education. The sanctuary not only offers a safe haven for its animal residents but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation among its human visitors. In doing so, it contributes to a broader awareness and responsible action toward wildlife conservation, fulfilling its mission to both educate and inspire.

We loved it they have over 40 tigers and other different rescued animals, the feeding at night was a real nice experience and you get to be real close to the animals.

Wonderful experience!! The animals were very well taken care of and very friendly staff. We were able to able to get a close up view of the beautiful cats and there were plenty of places to sit and rest in the shade.
